Come to the Fayre!
It may still be a week ahead of Advent, but for many of us at St. John’s the Countdown-to-Christmas Fayre really feels like the start of the festive season…like an early glimmer of sparkle, and waft of cinnamon!
Held in St John’s Church and the hall, it is always a fun and bustling event. Many helping hands come together in preparation, to bake, craft and create, to collect great gifts, books, trinkets, decorations, cards and stationery for our stalls, and transform the church and hall with tinsel and lights for the day to get everyone into the Christmas spirit!
Come and join us for a chance to pick up a few early Christmas presents, buy homemade cakes, preserves, and play some fun games for young and old (teddy tombola is a perennial favourite!). And please stay for a coffee or a quick lunch and chat in the hall.
We are so pleased to welcome in all our visitors and customers from across Hemel, and even beyond – last year one lovely customer told us she comes every year all the way from Essex! With so many coming together, it makes for a lovely community event. All in all, we are getting excited!
