This lovely girl is Lucky, although she seemed very far from lucky when she arrived. She was dehydrated and suffering so badly from malnutrition that she could hardly stand. We feared that she wouldn’t make it through the night. Luckily she did, but on closer examination we found a neglected wound that was in danger of turning nasty. With a special diet to help her gain weight, treatment for her wound and loads of TLC, Lucky started to improve and is turning into the beautiful dog she was meant to be. It will be a while before she is ready to rehome but just look at her progress! Dogs like Lucky that require time and specialist care are a big expense for a small rescue charity, but I’m sure you’ll agree she is well worth it!
