An important part of the work we do at Appledown is helping dogs that have had a very difficult start to gain the confidence and trust they need to be rehomed. Lurcher Mark Greene was very traumatised when he arrived. A stray who had been on the run for some time too afraid of humans to allow himself to be caught. It takes time and patience to prepare a dog like Mark for the next step and he will need committed owners who are prepared for the challenging but rewarding road ahead. Mark could live with a confident dog, but not cats and will need to be house-trained.
Info about Mark and our other dogs can be found on our Facebook page. Visit our website for adoption info and an application form. Please support us in our work by making a one-off donation of £3 simply by texting APPLE to 70111, or donate via Paypal using the ‘DONATE Support a Cause’ option. Cheques are very welcome too!
