Happy Helly Choir is launching on Wednesday 3rd November and hopes to bring the joy of singing in a group to the people of Hemel Hempstead. Local resident Helen Isaac is the girl behind Happy Helly, and she has big plans to reignite a love of singing in our local residents after such a difficult few years for the country.
Helen is an experienced singer, teacher and conductor who already runs Little Voices Hertfordshire West, a company delivering award winning, small group singing and drama lessons to the young people of Kings Langley and recently, Leverstock Green. She has also been the regular conductor for the North London Military Wives Choir for the past few years and as such has performed for Royalty and Dignitaries. She has seen first-hand the hugely positive effect singing has on wellbeing in the military community and felt it was now time to bring that to non-military folk!
Did you know that singing releases the same happy hormones as working out at the gym? Helen is certain that you will leave her rehearsals significantly happier than when you enter! The choir will be focusing on well-known, feel-good songs such as Pharrell Williams ‘Happy’ and The Greatest Showman classic ‘A Million Dreams’.
There is absolutely no experience necessary to join and the choir is open to anyone over the age of 16. There will be no auditions and no one will be made to sing alone! If you want a regular activity where you can meet new people, sing your heart out and gain a real sense of achievement, all for less than a couple of pints at the pub, then look no further.
