Meet Fergus and Sherman, two elderly best friends with very different stories. After his owner died, Fergus the Dachshund came to us so sad and confused he was unable to settle into a foster home. Meanwhile, severely neglected Sherman was found tied to a bench, requiring surgery to remove his teeth and a tumour. Like Fergus, his needs made finding him a home unrealistic. However, the two old boys soon became inseparable, and have taken up permanent residence at Appledown as part of our ‘Kitchen Crew’. Now enjoying a new lease of life, they spend their days trotting around behind the scenes and keeping an eye on the staff! We think that all dogs, regardless of age, deserve to live their best life. Will you help us to care for dogs like Sherman and Fergus?
