For families we have meadow sweeps and bug hunts where you can learn more about the fascinating world of insects, interactive pond-dipping sessions giving you the chance to discover the hidden world under the water surface and fun woodland activities where you can play games and explore nature with us.
With the older visitor in mind (but not exclusively for grown-ups) we will also be offering a range of walks to suit all interests. Learn about the diversity of wildflowers, butterflies and other insects to be found in our unique calcareous chalkland habitat or come and find out about how we manage the woodlands for flora and fauna.
For further details please visit www.boxmoortrust.org.uk and follow us on social media. Dates and events will be released gradually throughout the summer so don’t forget to keep checking back to see what’s new. Please note that all activities may be subject to change at short notice, depending on current Covid guidelines and regulations.
Can’t make it to any events?
Why not hire one of our bug finding activity bags and go on your very own adventure through the fields and into the woodlands to discover the wonderful world of insects. Bug bags are available to hire from the Trust Centre…. we require a £10 cash deposit that will be refunded on return of the bag.
Don’t forget we have a number of waymarked walk routes around the Trust – leaflets are available to download from our website or to pick up from the Trust Centre in London Road, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 2RE.
We hope to see you very soon
